Golfing family

Coronavirus (Covid-19)

How are you managing social distancing?

To keep our guests and team safe, there’s a one-way route for guests, fewer people for more space, and signs throughout the rainforest to keep guests a safe distance apart at all times. We've set up hand sanitiser stations and we're only taking contactless payments. We’ll also be on the ball with extra cleaning – keeping hands and surfaces washed and washed again, and freshly scrubbing clubs and balls for every golfer.

It's masks on to come in and we’ve also put rainforest parties and events on hold for now.

How are you limiting large gatherings?

We have a Treetop host waiting at the entrance to welcome you. They’ll make sure there’s only a limited number of people in the rainforest at any one time.

Do I need to book online?

Nope, just turn up and tee off. If it’s a busy time, you may need to queue while our Treetop Host makes sure there aren’t too many people in the rainforest. But they’ll let you know if you need to wait.

Have your opening hours changed?

Yes. We are open;
Mon - Wed: 11am until 9pm
Thurs & Fri: 11am until 10pm
Sat: 10am until 10pm
Sun: 10am until 9pm

Last entry time is 8:45pm to play 1 course and 8pm for 2 courses.

Our family/group is more than four people. Will we be able to play?

Yes! We’ll just ask you to split into teams of four or less, and play the course one after the other.

Are you taking cash payments?

Not right now. To help keep our guests and team safe, we’re only taking contactless payments.

How are you protecting your team members?

All the changes we’re making in our jungle are to keep our team safe as well as our guests, from hand sanitiser stations and regular hand washing, to social distancing, Perspex screens at reception and making every payment contactless.

Our team will also be wearing face coverings as well as our guests. Behind our reception desk and bar, we also have floor markers to help team members keep their distance.

Can I book a party or event yet?

Not yet. We’re paying close attention to government announcements and updates, and while social distancing is still advised, we don’t feel it would be right to host events in our jungle.

What do I do if I have a party booking coming up?

We’re emailing everyone who’s booked an event with us about their options, so please keep an eye on your inbox. Or you can contact us at events@adventuregolf.com and one of our team will be in touch.

What if I want to book a party later in the year?

We will be keeping a close eye on the latest government guidance around gatherings and social distancing and as soon as it is safe to do so, we will let you know. Sign up to our newsletter to be the first to hear the news.

Are you still offering the Early Bird and Evening Eagle?

While the government continues to advise on social distancing, we feel temporarily stopping our Early Bird & Evening Eagle is the right thing to do. Alongside all of the changes we're making in our jungle to keep our team safe as well as our guests, it's important to us that we look after our guests queuing outside our jungle too. We appreciate this may disappoint some of our loyal guests, however, rest assured, they will both be back when the time is right to do so. To hear the news first, sign up to our newsletter

I had a gift card that expired. What should I do?

Keep it and bring it with you. We will honour all gift cards which expired during our temporary closure.

Are you offering food and drink?

Yes, and lots of it. Pizza Cabana is open every day, from 11am to 9pm and from 10am on the weekend. The Thirsty Toucan bar and Rainforest Roast Café are open all week too, serving up tropical cocktails, mocktails, great coffee, sweet treats and more.

We’re serving safely, with our team carefully following social distancing guidelines. We’re only taking orders from tables, which are spaced a safe distance apart. Our menus and condiments are available when guests ask us for them.

Last orders from The Thirsty Toucan and the Rainforest Roast Café are 9pm from Sunday to Wednesday and at 9.30pm from Thursday to Saturday.

Do I need to wear a face-covering before visiting?

Following recent Government announcements, from Monday 14th September it is a legal requirement for members of the public to wear face coverings in an expanded group of areas, including indoor entertainment venues like Treetop.

Guests aged 11 or over must wear them before entering site, when walking around site and when playing mini golf, however you are not required to wear them if seated in The Market area (i.e. eating or drinking).

If you're exempt from wearing a mask, please let a member of our team know.

Will the team be wearing PPE during my visit?

Yes. Following government announcements, our team members will be wearing face coverings from Thursday 24th September. They’ll wear them at all times while they’re on site, unless they have an exemption or they’re sitting down at a table to eat or drink.

Do I need to book a table to play mini golf?

Nope, just turn up and tee off. If it’s a busy time, you may need to queue while our Treetop Host makes sure there aren’t too many people in the rainforest. But they’ll let you know if you need to wait.

Do I need to scan the NHS Test and Trace QR Code to visit Treetop?

The health & wellbeing of our team & guests comes first. It's a mandatory requirement for guests visiting hospitality venues, such as Treetop, to provide their contact details. If you're unable to use the QR code, we'll ask the lead person in your group to give their contact details to our team at reception. You'll be unable to play mini golf or remain on site without doing so.

Does every guest within my group need to scan the NHS QR Code or leave their contact details?

No – only the lead person within your group is required to scan the NHS QR code or give their contact details to our team at reception.

Are there any guests or visitors who are exempt from scanning the NHS QR code?

The following are exempt from needing to scan the NHS QR code;

- Police Officers or Emergency Responders on duty
- Anyone making a delivery or collection
- Anyone who does not have the mental capacity to do so

Before I visit

Do I need to pre-book?

Nope. Just turn up and tee off!

When can I visit?

We’re open:
Monday to Wednesday from 11am-9pm
Thursday to Friday Saturday from 11am-10pm
Saturday from 10am-10pm

Who can play mini-golf?

Anyone can play our courses. We pride ourselves on having something for everyone, whatever your age or ability.

What’s the minimum age to play?

We don’t have one – even the youngest golfers can have a go. If they’re aged 12 and under, they’ll need an adult in their troop at all times.

How much will it cost me?

Check out our price list.

Will someone explain the rules before we tee off?

When you arrive, one of our friendly team can run you through the playing rules – and you’ll also find them on your scorecard. After that you’ll be ready to roll, with our team on-hand to help whenever you need them.

How many mini-golf courses do you have?

We’ve got two epic, 18-hole courses – Ancient Explorer and Tropical Trail.

Can I choose which course to play?

Yes. But if you choose to play two courses you get to explore both.

How long will the game last?

Generally, it'll take about 45 minutes to get around each course. At busy times, it might take a bit longer.

Will I need to finish the course within a certain amount of time?

Yes, if you’re teeing off after 8:45pm. The latest government rules mean all guests will need to leave the jungle by 10pm. But don’t worry, we’ll make sure our last tee-off times are 8pm for two courses and 8:45pm for one course. Remember to stick to the maximum-six-shots-per-hole rule and be aware of other golfers behind you, and you’ll be in for an epic adventure.

What's the latest I can swing by for a game?

The last entry time to play two courses is 8pm, and for one course, it’s 8.45pm.

Last orders from The Thirsty Toucan and the Rainforest Roast Café are 9pm from Sunday to Wednesday and at 9.30pm from Thursday to Saturday.

Can we bring our own drinks and food to the venue?

Unfortunately not (rainforest border rules). But don’t worry, we’ve got plenty of tasty grub, hot and cold drinks and tropical cocktails available in our bar & café.

Do you have access for wheelchairs and prams?

Yes, our jungle is wheelchair and pram-friendly. Everyone can come and enjoy a game.

Where is Treetop Adventure Golf?

We’re up on level P3 of St David’s 2 Dewi Sant, Cardiff, CF10 2EL. Take the lift lobbies on ground floor (by Costa Coffee) or on level 1 (opposite the Apple Store).  Or just follow Simi the monkey’s footprints across level P3 of the car park.

How can I get there?

If you’re coming by train, it’s a ten-minute walk from Cardiff Central. Or just five minutes from Queen Street station.

If you’re driving, put the postcode ‘CF10 2EQ’ into your satnav or follow signs for St David’s car park. Get to the car park from Mary Ann Street.

See 'Find us' on our website for more travel details.

Is there a limit on team size?

You can putt through our jungle in teams of up to four people. If you visit with a big group and divide up, your teams can play consecutively, following each other around the course.

Can I play two courses if I arrive in the jungle after 8pm?

Nope, but you can play one course if you get here at or before 8.45pm. We want to make sure you enjoy your visit to the jungle in a fun and relaxed way, without feeling rushed. It’s now a government requirement that we close our rainforests at 10pm and make sure all guests have trekked out.

Can I get a refund if I don’t finish my round of mini golf before 10pm?

We’re bringing forward our last entry times to make sure you’ll make it around the course without feeling rushed. You’ll have at least 1 hour and 15 minutes if you’re playing one course, and two hours for two courses.

Can I come in for just food and drinks after 8:45pm?

Yep, you can still come in and visit Pizza Cabana, the Rainforest Roast Café and The Thirsty Toucan. Pizza Cabana is open until 9pm every day.

Last orders from The Thirsty Toucan and the Rainforest Roast Café are 9pm from Sunday to Wednesday and at 9.30pm from Thursday to Saturday. You’ll have plenty of time to finish your food and drinks before the rainforest closes at 10pm.

Café, bar & pizza

Can I warm up baby food or drink?

Of course. We’ll give you hot water so you can warm it through.

Do you serve hot food?

Our resident pizza experts, Pizza Cabana, serve up fresh, sizzling-hot slices.

Can I get Pizza Cabana to takeaway?

No problem, just let our team know at the till. And if you fancy eating in, you’re welcome to stay and enjoy it in one of our booths or at one of our tables, even if you’re not playing golf.

Jungle facilities

Is there a public car park?

Yes, you can park in St David’s. It’s got capacity for 2000 cars.

Do you have free WiFi?

Yep. To use it, just connect to Treetop Kloud. No password needed.

Do you have high chairs?

Yes, lots. Ask one of our team and they’ll be happy to bring a highchair to your table.

Do you have a crèche?

No. But you can take tiny explorers with you as you trek around our courses. Our jungle is pram and pushchair-friendly and even the mini-est of mini golfers can have a go at putting.

Is there somewhere to store my personal belongings?

Yes, we’ve got lockers that take £1 coins. But we don’t recommend you bring any valuables to the jungle – we can’t take responsibility for any items lost or damaged while they’re in our care.

Is there a disabled toilet and baby changing area?

Yes, you’ll find both next to our rainforest reception.

Can I charge a mobility scooter or my mobile in your venue?

Yes, you’ll find plug sockets in our bar & café. We don’t supply chargers though, so remember to bring your own.
